Michael Sherar
Michael has been a national level, and now masters athlete with two M45 800m world championship gold medals, and M45 and M50 Canadian 800m records. He is currently on the Board of Canadian Masters Athletics. He is the parent of a Guelph athlete.
Professionally Michael is a healthcare executive and recently stepped down as President and CEO of Cancer Care Ontario.

Elizabeth Waywell
Born and raised in Guelph, Elizabeth is a Masters long distance runner and very competitive in her age category. A retired lawyer, Elizabeth has extensive experience with not-for-profit and volunteer organizations.

Nike Abiodun
Nike is from Waterloo, Ontario. She is a second year student at the University of Guelph studying Economics, and is also a member of the Guelph Gryphons Varsity Track and Field team. Her main event in track and field is sprint hurdles. Her role as an athlete representative is to be a liaison between the administration and athletes in order to bridge the gap. She is excited to be a part of this board in order to give some perspective to the board and a voice to fellow athletes.

Dontae Richards Kwok
Dontae is a relay bronze medalist at the 2013 World Championships and has been a member of several Canadian National Teams. Dontae has a wealth of experience at all levels of track and field and is also currently a sprints/relays assistant coach with the Guelph Gryphons.

Gavin Hughes
Gavin Hughes is from Guelph, Ontario. He is a fourth year student studying Criminal Justice and Public Policy as well as a member of the Varsity Track and Field team at the University of Guelph. He has been apart of the running community in Guelph for eight years and has been apart of multiple championship teams. He is excited to represent the strong, competitive endurance community that exists in Guelph.

Andrew Catton
Andrew has been a runner since making the cross-country team in grade 4. He ran throughout high school in London, ON and university at Saint Francis University (PA). Andrew moved to Guelph in 2002 to train with the Speed River TFC. While living in Guelph, he became more involved in the running community, first as a race director, then by working in a local running store. In 2012, Andrew purchased the Running Works, Guelph’s only locally owned and operated running store. He has helped countless people throughout the community have a better running experience.
Outside of running, Andrew spends his time with his wife raising their two children.

Ken Kudo
Originally from London, Ontario, Ken moved to Guelph in 1989 to work with the Design, Engineering and Construction department at the University of Guelph. Married to Nicole Kudo, Ken has two athletic daughters, Alexandra and Catrina.
Ken has been active in the local running community for many years. He competed as an age group triathlete from 1990 to 2002, and as a Masters Track and Field athlete from 2003. Ken volunteers at local track meets. And currently has coaching certifications in minor hockey and officiating certification in swimming.

Paul MacNamara
Paul was a teacher of Drama, Business and Religion at St. James CHS for 30 years where he was also Department Head for the Arts. Paul continues to coach cross-country and track & field at St. James.
Paul is a volunteer coach with the sprint group at Royal City AC. He is a Certified Club Coach in Throws, and a track and field official with Athletics Ontario. Paul recently retired from serving on the finance & property committee at St. Joseph’s parish in Guelph.
